Duoruonuor Gr
Type Locality and Naming
Middle Qilian (north-central Gansu-Qinghai border region). The Duoruonuor Gr was named by Qian Jiagi in 1975, and was formally published by Gansu Compiling Group for Regional Stratigraphic Scale in 1980. The typical section is situated in Hongshandaban area, Middle Qilian Mountain, Gansu Province.

Lithology and Thickness
The lower part of the Duoruonuor Gr (Shibandun Fm) is dominated by volcanic rock, chert, siliceous slate, silty slate and chlorite quartz schist intercalated with sandstone. The middle part (Bianmagou Fm) consists of dolomitic clastic rock and tuffaceous sandstone. The upper part (Chaganburgas Fm) is siliceous limestone, marble intercalated with phyllite etc. The thickness is from 2052 to 2700 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
Its lower part unconformably overlies the underlying Gongcha Gr (Qingbaikouan System).
Upper contact
The top is unconformably overlain by the Middle Devonian (or Upper Devonian to Lower Carboniferous) strata.
Regional extent
Middle Qilian (north-central Gansu-Qinghai border region). It is mainly distributed in Shulenanshan, Duoruonuor, Chaganburgas and Kaokesai areas.
